Spiders

There are over 35,000 species of spiders worldwide, with about 3,000 occurring in North America. Many species of spiders are household pests. Where ever food is available, spiders are likely to be found. All spiders are predators, feeding on insects and other small arthropods.

Termites are small, ant-like insects. However, they differ from ants in that they feed off the cellulose in wood. Working largely unseen under the surface, they can tunnel through the wooden structural members in buildings and completely destroy them.
Cockroaches

There are no 'wild' populations of German cockroaches. They exist only in association with humans. Therefore, German cockroaches are the most common cockroach pest found in homes, restaurants, grocery stores, correctional facilities, schools, and other buildings where food is stored or prepared. German cockroaches are transported easily in clothing, bags, boxes, and other belongings.

The common bed bug, is a bloodsucking parasite of mainly humans. They tend not to live on humans and their only contact is for the blood meal. Most blood feeding occurs at night, and they generally seek shelter during the day and become inactive while digesting the blood meal. Bed bugs shelter in a variety of dark locations, mostly close to where people sleep.
