The company was started by Tom Poplin back in 1985. Tom has over 25 years of hands on experience ranging from home building, all facets of landscape construction, to extensive plant knowledge. His initial early years working in the home building trades such as framing, roofing, drywall and finish carpentry while simultaneously also starting a gardening and landscape service has led him to evolve on focusing his business on Landscape Construction projects.A Blend of Building Construction and Gardening.

This involves outdoor kitchens, fireplaces, wood work, ponds & waterfalls, barbecue centers, pool decks and all facets of masonry, rain harvesting, along with all the typical landscape gardening features such as planting, irrigation and lighting.

Our Natural Boulder Waterfalls with Streams and ponds are typically built using a 45 mil EPDM Liner. EPDM is a flexible rubber membrane that lines the bottom of your pond. We use skimmers in all our ponds, submersible pumps and biological filter systems that promote beneficial bacteria to keep your water clear and healthy for fish.

Japanese Landscape

Tom has been designing and installing Japanese style landscapes for over 25 years. He started training Bonsai trees when he was only 16 years old. We have designed and installed public Japanese Display Gardens at the Los Angeles County Arboretum.
