In 2008, Pickett Solar was started by the team at Don Pickett & Associates, Inc., a local commercial construction company with 40+ years design-build experience. We learned, the hard way, there was a need locally for a solar company that specialized in large commercial installations. You see we had been on the "buying" end for a number of our own commercial projects.

But when we searched for a solar company willing to handle larger commercial projects, we ran into roadblock after roadblock. Yes, there were a few companies willing to do the work, but when it came to large commercial installations, they were dabblers.

Pickett Solar installed 822 solar panels at 300 watts each on carports for golf club. Carports also provide shade for customers. 365,845 kilowatt hours will be saved annually, which is equivalent to the C02 emissions from 29,000 gallons of gasoline consumed.

Pickett Solar installed the 2.9 megawatt solar system for SunWest Fruit near Fresno, California. With 9,576 solar panels, this is one of the largest rooftop mount systems in the nation. 3,922,600 KW hours will be saved annually, enough to power 490 houses for a year.
