My family has been using Andrews Floor Covering ever since I can remember and they have always treated us like family. The fact that this business has gone through 3 generations says a lot! Charleston should be proud to have Andrews as part of our community.

Called for carpet repair, said $45 an hour on the phone. Got bill that worked out to about $90 and hour and the "first hour is $100". not sure how simple miscommunication or mishearing could have been that drastic. Was billed for 5 hours but I was there the whole time and it took 3.5 hours counting a half our to go get more supplies (11 minutes per Google from their location to my house). Not sure how that happened either.
They brought it down to 3.5 with no comment so I just paid it to move on with my life. Substandard work at the end of the day with tack strip showing near a door but it was a repair so my expectations weren't high. Hopefully my experience is an outlier since the company has been around a while but find another place to support local in my opinion.

We have had multiple satisfying purchase and installation experiences with this company. Several years ago they replaced three rooms of carpet with hardwood flooring, replacing the subflooring when necessary (due to cats). Their work ethic and attention to detail were impressive. This experience led us to call on them again this year, when we had extensive floor damage to hardwood floor in a second home in Fayette County.
The remediation company cut out a rectangle of damaged flooring, which meant the company replacing it would have to remove additional boards to "feather" it in, and fit the new boards into the existing flooring. It was a very challenging job, and our first choice was Andrews Flooring. They agreed to travel 60 miles each way to do the work for us, and we couldn't be happier with the result. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality installation of hardwood flooring.
